Angel Biscuits


Ingredients: Directions:
  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Mix flour and sugar in mixing bowl.
  4. Cut shortening into flour mixture using a pastry blender or fork.
  5. Add yeast and buttermilk to make a soft dough.
  6. Turn onto a floured surface and roll or pat to a 1/2 inch thickness.
  7. Cut with biscuit cutter.
  8. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and let rise for 45 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Yield: 3 dozen angel biscuits
Notes:If you have never had Angel Biscuits, you are in for a treat!
