Corn Dogs

Ingredients:

1 pound package hot dogs

1 cup all purpose flour

3/4 cup yellow cornmeal

2 teaspoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon sale

1 egg, slightly beaten

3/4 cup milk

2 teaspoons melted shortening

Shortening or cooking oil

Directions:

Pat hog dogs dry.
If desired, cut into 3 pieces and insert toothpick in end.
Mix egg, milk and shortening and add this to the cornmeal mixture.
Mix well.
Roll hot dogs in batter and place into hot oil.
Fry for 3 to 5 minutes.
Enjoy!

Notes: Serve with honey mustard, yum!
